    David Liner is a seasoned C-Suite executive and experienced public company Board member laser- focused on creating shareholder value.  David was a member of the Board of Directors of CECO Environmental, a multi-industry company traded on the NASDAQ (CECE), and serves as Chairman of its Nominating and Governance Committee and a member of its Audit and Compensation committees.  David also advises investment advisors, hedge funds and institutional investors about the “asset light” business model and private equity funds and public and private global companies on M&A and governance and compliance matters.   He combines his proven legal skills, strong people skills and vast industry and international experience to guide businesses through the challenges they face on a daily basis.  Having spent nearly his entire career working for large diversified global companies focused on growth and creating shareholder value, David has and continues to work with companies to enable them to execute on their strategies and achieve their goals.  David also has an interest in working with companies based outside the United States interested in expanding into the U.S. market.

    David recently retired from Roper Technologies, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange listed company and a constituent of the S&P 500, Fortune 1000 and Russell 1000 indices, which designs and develops software (both software­as­a­service and licensed) and engineered products and solutions for healthcare, transportation, food, energy, water, education and other niche markets worldwide.  He joined Roper in August 2005 as Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer, serving in that capacity until June 2016, when he stepped down from his corporate secretarial and compliance responsibilities to transition to retirement in early 2018 and a focus on Board service.  In addition to his other responsibilities during his tenure at Roper, David worked alongside Roper’s CEO, CFO and a few other senior executives on executing Roper’s robust acquisition program, deploying over $5 billion and acquiring over 40 world class businesses.

    Prior to joining Roper, David spent four years as a corporate partner in the Detroit office of Dykema Gossett, a large national law firm, where he headed the firm’s Automotive Industry Practice and founded the firm’s China Practice.  From 1997 through August 2001, David was Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Metaldyne Corporation (formerly MascoTech, Inc.), a NYSE listed manufacturer of products for the global transportation industry.  During his tenure at MascoTech, David led the company’s global legal activities including the $900 million tender offer for TriMas Corporation.  David began his career in the legal department of Masco Corporation, a global manufacturer of products for the home and family listed on the NYSE and a constituent of the S&P 500 and Fortune 500 indices.  Starting his career at Masco fresh out of law school, David took on increasing responsibilities culminating in his appointment as General Counsel of MascoTech, which was a spin­off of the industrial businesses of Masco Corporation.
